KSV 8000 SYSTEM 2 - High performance Langmuir-Blodgett TroughPC controlled fully automatic Langmuir-Blodgett instrument for unsupervised fabrication of multilayer LB-films on exceptionally large solid substrates, as large as 8 – 10 inch silicon wafers.

- Symmetric compression of the monolayer by two inter-linked surface barriers, or one-sided single barrier compression.· Leak proof hydrophilic barriers.
- Form sintered solid piece, non-porous PTFE trough with no glue sealing of the dipping well. Surface area 2,200cm2, (L710 x W310 x D10) with a dipping well (L30 x W300 x D269) in the centre. Sub phase volume 4600 ml.
- Dipper, a dipping device, fully automatic and software controlled operation for LB-film depositions on solid substrates. Dipping stroke 300 mm max.
- Sub phase temperature control facility by aluminum heat/cool base plate operated by external circulating water bath. Bath sold separately.
- Super sensitive film balance with Platinum Wilhelmy plate (51066) and 100 pcs of paper plates (51066FP) and paper plate hook (51066FPH)

KSV LayerBuilder™ Interface Unit, featuring:
- Built-in LCD display for the surface pressure and barrier position (default) or temperature or pH (where applicable)
- Spill-proof membrane keyboard for manual control of barriers and dipper (where applicable)
- USB connection to the PC computer· Temperature control of the sub phase water temperature through a water bath, including the probe (KSV5000TCP) and embedded control software (bath sold separately)
- Interface for pH probe (probe KSV5000PHP sold separately)· Interface to a magnetic stirrer (stirrer KSV52601 sold separately)
- Analogue input for monitoring external analogue voltage signal (±10Vdc) during the experiment
- All controls and connections for the barriers, balances and dipper (where applicable)
- Complete KSV WINLB software for Windows™ operation systems.
- Comes with comprehensive instructions manual and instructional video CD on how to set up the instrument and how to make basic experiments.
- Comes also with complete starter kit to make first experiments (see accessory KSV-LBKIT).
